Dolcetto di Diano d’Alba is a wine made from a native grape variety that can be produced exclusively in the municipality of Diano d’Alba.

This wine has an intense ruby-red colour with purple highlights tending towards violet. On the nose, it is vinous, with very distinctive floral and fruity notes reminiscent of cherry and peach. The palate is dry, full-bodied yet balanced and harmonious, with an elegant almond-like finish. It pairs well with a wide variety of meat dishes and cheeses and should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C.

Within the municipality of Diano d’Alba, the territory has been divided, for the first time in Italy, into areas that are particularly suited to viticulture and those that are less so. These areas are known as “Sori’”. In the local Langhe dialect, the term refers to a location particularly favoured by the local microclimate for wine production.

A total of 76 Sori’ have been identified in Diano d’Alba, with their boundaries, number of vines and planting years recorded, and each has been given a name drawn from the area’s ancient local tradition.

Our winery produces two different Sori’: “Sori’ Colombè” and “Sori’ Cristina”.

Sori’ Cristina covers an area of 1.2 hectares, has a south-western exposure, predominantly calcareous soil, and is located at an altitude of approximately 350 metres above sea level.
