A native grape variety traced in the Roero area since 1478, it was mentioned under the name "Reneysium." It is vigorous,
ripens medium early, and prefers sandy, not excessively fertile soils. It performs best in southeast and west-facing locations. It produces wines with good alcohol content and a full, smooth structure. Storage in steel vats at low temperatures ensures a pleasant aromatic fragrance.
